Approach

Brittany Gilchrist, MA, LPC, CEDS-C
I am dedicated to promoting awareness and collaboration in the field between clients, their families, and their providers. My dedication to this goal has been demonstrated through presentations I have given on mindfulness, eating disorders, body image, parent/family involvement, shame, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
In addition to Master’s Degree work and clinical experience, I have received hundreds of hours of continuing education on various treatment modalities for managing eating disorders, anxiety, depression, and self-care. Into the care provided, I integrate evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Family-Based Therapy, and Internal Family Systems.
Regardless of the specific approach, acceptance, collaboration, and compassion are at the center of my work with clients, families, and treatment providers.
